Play in the 2010 Irish Open
The 2010 Irish Open is fast approaching. The event is the longest running No Limit Texas Hold’em poker tournament in Europe and the second longest in the world after the World Series of Poker. Traditionally held over the Easter Weekend in Dublin, a city renowned for a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, not to mention the Guinness!
Dates for the event are 1-5th April 2010.
2009 winner, Christer Johansson took home the €600,000 first place prize. The well known cash game and limit specialist who plays under the handle ‘sendmemore’ battled through the 700 strong playing field which included poker stars such as Dan Harrington, Jamie Gold, Phil Laak, Marty Smyth, Ciaran O'Leary and Neil Channing.
Satellites for the Irish Open start on the 17 December, so if you want to play at this event and mingle with the pros, this is your chance.
Packages are valued at $7,500 and include:
- €3,200 + €300 buy in to the main event.
- 5 nights’ accommodation and breakfast at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin. April 1st – April 6th.
- $1,700 for flights and spending.
